  I came with my wife just for a casual date night. I chose this place since my wife really wanted a fried chicken sandwich and this place was close to my home. I was reluctant to come to TGI Friday since I was disappointed with the food about 8 years ago when I went out with my friends at the branch in City of Industry, CA for a goodbye party with one of my friends. That was my first and last time I went to TGI Fridays until now. I hoped it would be different this time.
  
  I arrived during their happy hour so I was able to get their $15.99 steak and lobster special. My wife got the southern fried chicken sandwich. We also got the loaded potato skins for our appetizer.
  
  The loaded potato skins is mediocre for the price. It was just potatoes with cheddar cheese and bacon bits plus ranch dipping sauce on the side. $12 for this item is too much to ask for.
  
  The steak and lobster was just kind of disappointing. The entree portion was quite small. The steak was also small (comically small) but it was cooked just right (charred on the outside and a bit rare on the inside). In fact, the steak is the only good thing about the entree as you can see later on. The lobster on the other hand was a bit tough and the sauce was a bit burnt as I can taste some of the bitterness from the burnt sauce. Clarified dipping butter was missing even though it was shown in the special poster illustration. They just put the same steak seasoned melted butter on the lobster side directly on the plate instead. The broccoli was overcooked, mushy, and needed more seasoning. The baked potato was OK. However, the loaded baked potato upgrade was not a good deal. It costed $1.40 more to just add some cheese and bacon bits.
  
  The southern fried chicken sandwich and fries that my wife ordered is actually good. It tasted as expected and the avocados do help add some texture and flavor. I ate some of her sandwich because I was still a bit hungry after finishing my entree and my wife was already full.
  
  My server was average compared to other restaurants I have been to.
  
  Overall, I have to say that it is hard for me to justify coming here again or any other TGI Friday branch. My experience here has reinforced my views on TGI Friday. I had better food at other nearby restaurants in the same plaza such as Chevy's and Backyard Bayou for similar pricing. Even compared to other chain restaurants that I have been to, such as Macaroni Grill and Cheesecake Factory, the food experience was disappointing.
